Honeymoon with Rejection

It is a day like any other day – or so denial wants her to believe. She always hears it; feels it. Yet it is not always there for her. Rare yet powerful moments of self-awareness engulf her, her happy shadow slipping ahead. She was its shell until it outgrew her. Abandoned, she is lost for there is no shine or sparkle emanating from her. On this day, she sees change but cannot change. Change always violates her thoughts though, squeezing her broken heart. And as the world begins to swallow her whole, the hand of denial emerges once more in the shape of a stranger; a friend. Laughing, her life resumes once more…until…

Es un día como cualquier otro día - o eso es lo que la negación quiere que ella crea. Ella siempre la oye, la siente. Sin embargo, la negación no siempre está ahí para ella. Raros pero potentes momentos de su conocimiento con sí misma la engolfan mientras que su sombra feliz se escapa por delante. Ella fue su concha hasta que su sombra la superó. Abandonada, ella se pierde porque ya no tiene brillo o resplandor que emitir. En este día, ella ve el cambio, pero no puede cambiar. Sin embargo, el cambio siempre viola sus pensamientos, apretando su frágil corazón. Y mientras que la tierra comienza a tragársela, la mano de la negación surge una vez más en la forma de un extraño; un amigo. Riéndose, su vida se renueva una vez más...hasta que...
